Missions
Here at St. Paul we recognize God’s call to love and serve our neighbors, whether near or far. Opportunities exist for both hands-on service and long-distance partnering through St. Paul and various mission and aid organizations.

Hands-on Service:
Orphan Grain Train – St. Paul members donate, collect and sort all types of clothing, medical goods and other supplies for Orphan Grain Train (http://www.ogt.org/). St. Paul members were also instrumental in assisting Orphan Grain Train in the building of their new Maryland warehouse. OGT donations help those in North America and in other countries around the world.
Supporting Children and Families – Whether through our Lutheran School & Early Childhood Center, our Easter Egg Hunt, Vacation Bible School, Trunk or Treat, or Special Christmas Events, the congregation of St. Paul strives to share God’s love with the children and families in our area. If you are interested in volunteering, there is a place for you!
ESL Classes – Our neighbors who need extra help brushing up on the English language are invited to our free ESL (English as a Second Language) classes. These classes take place on various weeknights from fall through spring and are taught by volunteers from St. Paul. To register or to volunteer, please contact our office.
Mission Trips – Members of our congregation have regularly traveled to Nicaragua and other countries to assist with mission work. St. Paul Youth have also served within the United States working on projects for the low-income or incapacitated. They would love to talk to you about their experiences and involve you in their plans!
Food Packing – St. Paul Youth and leaders have worked on a number of occasions to pack food for the hungry and homeless. Pictured are our youth filling grain packets at the LCMS National Youth Gathering.
Partnering with Mission and Aid Organizations:
St. Paul donates a percentage of our budget to Food for the Poor (http://www.foodforthepoor.org/) in order to build houses in impoverished areas of Haiti. Another percentage is given to the Lutheran Mission Society (http://lmsmission.org/) to help the needy in the Baltimore area.
St. Paul financially supports a missionary abroad. St. Paul and members also support other Mission Partners and Aid Organizations who operate locally or around the globe. Please visit their pages for more information:
